8AM ON A LONDON MORNING.

DAY ONE:
arriving at 7am, feeling awful yet exuberant, i decided to intentionally take no photos. i wanted to settle into this magical place and see it through my own eyes, and not through the lens of a camera. 36 hours later, yesterday feels a bit of a blur. After settling in, it was a short walk to portobello road market. it's amazing. a hub of bizarre and mixed culture: musicians, antiques, fur, trash, jewellery and more antiques and rubbish. After that. we headed into the city and the rest: a blur.

DAY TWO:
today, i went to harrod's. it's ok, i guess. it's kind of predictable... 4000 pound watches, mulberry handbags, and couture gounds. i get it.
i went home... and got a call from august and spontaneously hopped on the tube and half an hour later was seeing her for the first time in 4 months outside the royal academy. we see an exhibition called eARTh. it was a fantastic collabaration of numerous contemporary artists discussing and examing our earth: the effects of our existence and the future. we then walked around oxford circus :) :) :) and went to topshop :) which is complete and utter madness on a sunday afternoon. to be honest, it wasn't as much as i was hoping for. i bought a black t-shirt with these goth-like pointy spikes around the collar which i thought was pretty rad.
then august and i spent many hours roaming the streets of central london, going into small, quirky shops and eating at this wonderful fast-food organic store called leon. it was delicious... i know this all seems 'whatever' to you guys... but the past 36 hours have possibly been the best 36 hours of my life. and with paris, and possible spain on the agenda, i'm sure there is a lot more to come.

these are the only photos i'm going to show you. these are simply a couple of photos from just outside my apartment in notting hill/kensington gardens area.
bliss.

  1. THE BEST 36 HOURS OF YOUR LIFE??! That's quite a claim. The second photo is amazing. :D The exhibition sounds awesome as well. Oh and Leon. I like the sound of that place. It's actually probably a good thing I'm not there because I don't think I'd appreciate the whole thing as much as you are, but I'm glad you're having a splendid time and I still wish I could see August again. *sigh*
